Innocence

fob.lina

My mind was so innocent

then reality sets in, so young to be contaminated

why can't I go back to the time

when I didn't have a care in the world

I could be myself, without having to worry about being judged

when I didn't have to keep up with the latest trends

when I could just throw on whatever I wanted

then I realized I was always judged I just started caring

WELCOME FL ~ Thank you for your first poem ~ elegantly penned and a salutary message. We all get judged especially when we reach our Teens. What we wear ~ how we look ~ who we hang with and what we do and where we go ! It's Itard for both Yin and Yang ! I'm 33 and I still care abouit my image. Youir meditative poem made me think ~ thanks for sharing ~ more please ! Yours BRIAN ~ UK
