Rainbows to hide from

Middlearth

There are times I remember

Turning in my head

Trying to find the end

Of that elusive, lost, loose thread.

There are times that escape me

That I cannot quite recall

I think I see a hint of them

Then the fragments of memory fall

There are times that I can bathe in

Submerge in the joy of the past

Moments of pure elation

So fleeting – they do not last

There are times I am sinking

Spiralling down in depths of sad

I try to catch on to a shred of solidity

Something that won’t turn bad.

There are times that encompass all of this

A kaleidoscope of emotional colour

And sometimes I wish this rainbow would subside

Give me a bit of beige- just to let me recover.

I love the emotional rollercoaster tied to colors. Thanks.

WELCOME ME ~ Thanks for a very elegant poem with a challenging message. Sometimes (when we need them most) the colours in the Rainbow are more than we can bare. Yours BRIAN ~ Please check my poems ~ Thanks B
