Silence.
Filled the car ride home.
What is there to say?
Other than address
the elephant in the room.
Terminal.
It's not what we wanted to hear.
She is only six years
old, And she only has 6 months.
Until she turns cold.
Debacle.
Her health rapidly deteriorates.
Every day
it hits me. I still can't except,
That she won't be okay.

WELCOME CHARLOTTE # Thanks for your first poem. Elegant in Structure but tragic in Subject. We have lost Young people (under 12) in our extended Family ~ it is very very hard. We can only pray that their souls will rest in PEACE. Thanks for sharing and caring ~ Yours BRIAN (UK)
Sorry for your loss.
That is a vivid description of the shock, the silence, the frustration, and the helplessness that accompanies some devastating illnesses. Hugs and supportive thoughts.
Thank you for the feed back
My heart goes out to you
