I Would Have Known

Augustus

Could I have made your bed,
What words we would have said.
What worlds we would have known.
What smiles my cheeks had shone.
Now tears to rivers flow,
I know what I would have known.

Hopefully we can learn and grow from tough experiences. Nicely done.

Thanks for the response in jolly rhyme. This was a love in life I let slip by due to career and lack of maturity. I met her again later in life. We both loved art, singing, and music. It was too late then. Oh what could have been.

Another fine rhyming poem. Lamenting about what "worlds we would have known". Maybe someone better will come along, who knows?
