The constitution, my bible. The flag, my shroud. Blood spilt to defend these lands runs through my veins for I am an American and proud. I was born with freedom instilled into me, but I will never forget lives where lost to make that a possibility. I'm a patriot with civil liberties teetering towards a fall, government in our face blatantly trying to take them all. Why do we fight amongst one another if you where born under this sky you are my sister and my brother, no matter your race or your color. Take one step forward another rung up the ladder and realize we are Americans and all lives matter. So stop the mayhem and killing one another cause the life you take could be someone's father or mother. If you are fighting your neighbor, you already lost. You should be standing together to take back our country at all cost.

WELCOME ROBERT ~ Thanks for your first poem which pulsates with Patriotism ~ Rhyme and Rhythm. The content is excellent and your Message clear GOD BLESS AMERICA. I would have preferred to have seen it written in lines (poetic form) but that is a minor criticism ! To say that the "American Melting Pot" has problems of class ~ color and creed is a great understatement ! You are all born free but (as in the UK and elsewhere) you are NOT born equal ! The GOP is reeling under the UNSUITABILITY of its self appointed Candidate DONALD TRUMP and although HILLARY has great political experience she also has great baggage ~ in the UK we are praying that GOD will send an ANGEL to be your next PRESIDENT ! GOD BLESS AMERICA Yours BRIAN ~ Please check my poems ~ Thanks B
Thank you for the criticism I'm still learning the way of writing etiquette so anything people say either bad or good helps tremendously and I thank you for helping me. And yes both of our candidates are bad but most people in the states preference is trump because he's the lesser of two evils so we are in limbo here.
