Yes indeed SARAH ~ love & stew ~ both routes to a Man's heart. My fave is LAMB STEW ~ Lamb ~ onions ~ carrots ~ potatoes ~ sweet peppers ~ mint and a veggie stock cube for flavor ! If there is any left over I add some cooked parsnips ~ boil and blend for soup. I love SOUP with CRUSTY BREAD for supper ! Do you have a recipe for BEEF STEW ? Di you prefer blended soup or just chopped veggies and meat ? Yours BRIAN
When you mentioned that you like lamb stew I immediately thought of a cassoulet I had at a terrific restaurant. The rich stew was loaded with lamb and beans and other meats, and they topped it off with a poached egg, sour cream, and grilled focaccia bread (which I always saved for last so I could use it to clean the bowl!). I unfortunately don't have a recipe for any stews or soups yet, but with it being fall and all, I will most likely have one soon! I do love soups with chopped veggies and beans- such as minestrone. I don't eat meat anymore, or at least at the moment, because I decided I want to experiment with vegetarian recipes, and for some reason meat just doesn't attract to me like it used to.
The lamb stew you described sounds like a must try, though! Thank you for sharing 🙂
