The Moment

ddaca

The moment my heart skipped a beat was the moment i ever set eyes upon you,

It was the sweet moment you spoke your soft word to me,

All the times you bought me gifts.

It was the many times you you gently rubbed my thighs as you would comfort me just after you would spit your harsh words to me all of a sudden.

It was the moments you threw me to the ground because i didn't please you enough,

It was the times i would be laying in my own blood.

But now, my heart doesn't beat at all
Because i don't feel anything anymore.

WELCOME DDCA ~ Do we always hurt the one we LOVE ? Thanks for your first poem ~ well penned but wit such a disconsolate message. A sham appearance of LOVE but lacking in respect or empathy. I'm never like that but that's how many men react and I have met Ladies who have been so treated by the one THEY loved. Some had lost all feeling. Thanks for sharing I can empathise ~ Yoyurs BRIAN (UK)

Love? Sounds like a whole lot of hurt. Nicely done. Another thought: there of some us that crave attention whether it be good or bad attention.
