Lonely Ride

sonicpoet

A lonely ride

inside I cry,

with strangers here

inside I die.

My father's gone

to him I go,

to say goodbye

a lonely road.

For it's just me

who comes this far,

no car, no say

A failure yes.

I have no ride

I own no car,

but I still go

don't care how far.

WELCOME SONIC ~ Thanks for a very elegantly written first poem ~ some rhyme and lots of rhythm. In life (and love) it the being and the going tha is important ~ not the transport ! We've only had cars fro 120 years ~ we walked for many thousands and millions still do ! Thanks for sharing ~ more please ~ Please check my poems ~ Yours BRIAN

Thank you Brian I will gladly read your poems. Thanks for reading mine and for pointing out a true but interesting point about cars and how many miles have been walked. We can easily forget that sometimes.
