Once a Beautiful Mind

sincerelyallee

I hate you for running off with my heart;
For consuming my whole beautiful mind.
Once a human full of entrancing art;
Now a human whose thoughts have become blind.

I hate you for running of with my trust;
For squeezing my soul like a hand once yours.
Once a child full of beautiful stardust;
Now grown, my brain is a beautiful corps.

My ribs collapse like concrete on my core,
Making it hard to breath and speak my words.
My heart remains in its own crimson gore,
Waiting to fly away like some bluebirds.

I find myself still yearning for your touch.
I hate my beautiful mind...just as much.
