  • Comment from author about the poem: In the UK Nursing is the most important job in the NHS ~ Not always reflected in their salaries or status. Doctors and Surgeons are concerned with RESTORATION but the process (often painful long and slow) of RECOVERY is committed to the Nurses and Ancillary Staff' In the UK this includes post-operative care often delivered in the patients home. I teach on Pre-nursing course (Human Biology and the Behavoural Sciences) and they are some of the most enthusiastic students ! Don't put your Daughter ( or Son) on the Stage ~ Mrs Worthington ~ encourage them to work in the Operationl Theatre ijnstead ! Love BRIAN XOX
