The River

Christina8

Love is like a river

rushing to its destiny.

Not knowing where

it may lead us.

Trusting it will take

us away from the dam.

And toward something

beautiful and idyllic.

There is a calm at the

end of the river.

And he is there to greet me.

Thanks CHRIS ~ Loved the style ~ structure and subject The beauty of "free style" poetry is it is not "rhyme constrained " which give you infinite word choice ! However a poem must have rhythm and this you have achieved by having lines of similar lentgh. Well done an excellent FV Poem and I love the last line ! It takes TWO to TANGO ~ Special Hugs from your Special Friend BRIAN

I appreciate it! I tried to throw that first metaphor in there and then.....I'm not sure if freestyle is for me. But thanks for reading and enjoying. Hugs Christina

Thank you so much. Encouraging because I usually do not write in this way.
