Fearless climber of mine
Daring ascending the doom.
Held only by his wit
Up to where the clouds loom.
I'm but an insect below
His beyond my horizon gaze
He's circumspect
Scaling aerial ways unfrayed
Watching him grow aloft
Unburdened by resentment,
An angel's demeanor soft,
Of character and contentment.
My baby, my boy, my son, now giant of a man.
Your Dad, beneath, face aglow, a most adamant fan.

- Comment from author about the poem: I was so proud of my youngest son when he sent to me a selfie suspended in climbing gear from the rungs of a tower he scaled hundreds of feet in the air.

Thanks Pharaoh. I'm sure it must appear tame compared to your bold style. I really appreciate your comment.
