Never needed a compliment from you
'cause I get them all the time.
I don't need a hug or a kiss
'cause I get them too--so sublime.
I'm never in want of anything
that comes straight from your heart.
You've fulfilled that quota and
more right from the start.
Sure there's been bumps in the road.
But you've never withheld affection.
One thing I've never feared
from you is rejection.
I can only hope that I can
reciprocate what you've given to me.
If I can make you half as joyful
as you make me, I'd die happily.
