What’s The Point

These whispers

Are just lies

Chasing us into traps

That we hope to understand

   

Holding on

Won’t do you any good

 

Giving up

Will get you killed

 

And when

There’s no use

There’s always a use in living

 

Only to find out

You’re going to die

Trying

To make impossible things better

 

It’s complicated

You must be a dreamer

And a realist person

With common sense

If you ever want to

achieve great things

 

So say goodnight

Just to wake up in the morning

Knowing everything

Will be alright

 

Or so we think

Because everything

Can be destroyed

By your own

Fingertips

Before you can even blink

 

Why do people care so much

For pointless things

Why do we try our hardest

For impossible things

And why do we harm everything we touch

By trying to understand

What can’t be understood

 

What's the point

Why do we all want to win in life

When we are gonna lose it all in the end

 

But I guess

We try to make the best of what we have

In our temporary home

Thinking good deeds

Will get us somewhere in life

But really

People change people

 

We try to be perfect

And end up destroying ourselves

 

We try to fix problems

And either make them worse

Or cause more

 

So

In the end

Are we actually winning

 

There are people who are “ successful ”

And those who are not

 

We say thAt “ winning “ is “ losing “

 

But what is the true meaning

Of those words

 

Why do we care so much

 

We run away from our problems

Thinking ignoring them

Will make them go away

 

We must work together

Not respond

But seek to understand

 

And make the best

Of a pointless

situation
