Pressure Gauge

Augustus

Up and round the narrow gauge

I set a course as to my age.

New faces, places, pots, and pans.

Talking, praying, these divorced hands.

Apartments, condos, where to live.

Former sins, I hope He forgives.

Courtrooms, lawyers, and legal fees.

Strange houses, cars, and company.

And I'm looking for love you see.

As I braved this rollercoaster

A dear one says to me,

"Take the train, it's slower,

To friendship A through Z.

An engine need not boil.

Set on simmer instead.

Best way to use less oil,

Thus run with cooler head.

Just  visit and have some fun.

Love knows when love's begun."

I'm so relieved to board this train.

The roller I think was more a game.

All Aboard for Friendship Towne

Next stop- I'm Friendship bound.

Tony, would love to sit on the tailgate of an old pickup and have a beer with you one day.

Great poem! Friendship does make a better foundation that blasting through with the rollercoaster ride a lot of young people find themselves in. Very nice--Christina

Thanks Chrissy. I should never have married in the first place. The second time around I came up with a winner.

Good advice "A" in Love & Life the "Branch Line" is always much more rewarding than the ROLLER COASTER. In my experience relationships on the ROLLER COASTER tend to be RORO ~ Roll on ~ Roll off ! Thanks BRIAN

I like the branch line reference. Cheers.

Wow such a creatively awesome poem esp from the 2nd stanza onwards where the rhyming gets fabulous. It's always good to be friendship bound, yor train is going swell poetically here. We r joining one of the engines then. Best wishes.
