I'm Not Who I Thought I Was

Christina K

I didn't know

I was someone

that I'm not.

I thought

I had myself

all figured out.

But when I went

against my own

wishes,

judgment,

beliefs,

I realized that

I never truly

knew myself

and

that mole I have on my forehead

is over my left eye

and not my right.

Thanks CHRISTIANA ~ a very salutary poem ! It takes a lifetime to know ourselves and the it's TOO LATE. Also it takes time to realise that in a mirror left is always .right and right is always left ! This why we never think we look right in a photograph ! Food for thought ~ nice poem ! Please gheck my odes ~ Yours BRIAN
