You gave me children to love and adore
Eternally grateful, forever in your debt
They have bound us together, for sure
I remember, each of them, how I wept
We didn't think we could have children
Now through their achievements and such
and even through life's roadblocks
We continue to love them so much.
Now they're harder to keep up with
So grateful that they're healthy too!
That's what I'm most thankful for
And being able to share the kids with you!

- Comment from author about the poem: Dedicated to my husband but I know he didn't ultimately give us children, that He did. We didnt think we could have children and had problems along the way which is a poem for another day. Maybe. :-)

Having children is the toughest job! I am sure you are great at it! Beautiful job.
Thank you so much. Sometimes I am not so sure. lol. Thanks for the encouragement!
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL CHRIS ~ i love the joy and sentiment in this perfect poem. Children are a Blessing from the Lord . You and you husband have to bathe them daily in prayer & love. The ol;der they get ~ the more Prayer and Love you need. All these poems make Angela and I broody so we had better r get married soon ! Big Spiritual Hugs for you and your Family ~ Your Good Friend UNCLE BRIAN !
I was just thinking they were something I was so thankful for as specially as difficult as they were to come by. Had lots of difficulties along the way. But then we were blessed, not in our time, but His. Can't wait till you give me the big news someday! 🙂 Spiritual hugs--Christina
How refreshing. Appropriate for Thanksgiving.
Thank you Augustus. Was trying to think of what I was thankful for in the mood of Thanksgiving.
Why wouldn't I like such a lovely heartwarming poem in fabulous flow and rhyming dear Chrissy? Really a sweet unique and poetic way of addressing a soulmate spouse. Kudos. Best wishes.
