Leaves of depression

elsiewarrenswords

The days rustled past,

Like the leaves over my feet

As I walked to the doctors.
“You have anxiety mixed with
Signs of depression”
I had visions. He did it! I wanted to scream when he said it.

He left me!

He deserted me when it was what he promised he wouldn’t do!

But there I was sat on that doctors chair in silence

Listening to the printing

Of my prescribed sleeping tablets.
