O GOD you have been good to us
You have prospered and blessed our Land
You have opened your heart to us
You have forgiven all our sins
And adopted us as your Sons.
But now our Countries are in turmoil
We have lost confidence in our Leaders
Our citizens are all in turmoil
Our Young Ones are spilling their blood
On foreign Soil ~ in foreign Wars !
People are turning away from You
To strange doctrines ~ godless philosophies
BUT ~ You have not forsaken us
You provide your JOY and your PEACE
To all who are faithful to your WORD
Renew our Faith in you ~ our GOD
For you are HOLY and TRUE and JUST
Forgive our many failures and infidelity
And may our Land continue to be a place
Where we can be free to LOVE and WORSHIP you ~ AMEN

- Comment from author about the poem: This PSALM expresses the situation in the USA and the UK and other Countries today ! What we really need is not Economic Renewal but Spiritual Revival ! We are dominated by materialism and selfishness ~ while millions in our own Countries and billions in the World are living below the breadline ! Today is the First Sunday in Advent (Christmas) so it is an appropriate time to pray and prepare for Revival and Spiritual Renewal. Revival begins with individual decisions so it is up to you and me ! Lets begin by putting The Lord Jesus Christ back into CHRISTMAS ~ AMEN Love Joy & Peace to ALL ~ BRIAN ~ XOX
