Too cold to go outside mum

Oh!! On this cold December day,
children refuse their outside play.
Xbox on, their fingers at the ready,
staring at that huge fifty inch telly.
No conversation, a refusal to talk,
please be quiet,or go for a walk.
The possibility of interaction,
disappears like word subtraction.
A grunt and a groan will be your lot,
to another world they then will plot...
