A draughty stable with an open door
MARY cradling the babe she bore
The PRINCE of GLORY is his name !
Star of silver sweep across the skies
Show where JESUS in a manger lies

Just as poor as was the stable then

- Comment from author about the poem: This is a very popular CHRISTMAS CAROL in the UK and was wriiten in 1943 by Micheal Perry ~ not from BARBADOS WI ~ but Kent UK ! The lyrics remind us that JESUS left the riches of Heaven and was born in a poor lowly stable to bring His Spiritual Riches to the whole human race. It was the most significant event in the whole of human history ! We even changed the date from BC (before Christ came) to AD ~ ANNO DOMINI ~ In the year of Our Lord. That was 2016 years ago and on 25 December the whole World will celebrate His Birth ! CHRISTMAS IS ~ ALL ABOUT THE BOY ~ Jesus Christ ~ Son of God ~ Saviour of the World ~ AMEN ! Wow yes true the prince of glory indeed the beloved of humanity, for us a great special loved messenger of God and u wrote a lovely fabulous tribute eulogy for him, his birthday draws near. Kudos.
