Blue Eye Girl

spethinator

When you look at me what do you see?
Is it the blue eye girl who fights for what she has.
Or maybe the blue eye girl that sits alone and cries.
In a minute all things change
No one ever told me that minute would be me.
Moments feel like hours when I'm dying inside.
Hours feel minutes when I'm happy inside.

When you look at me who do you see?
The blue eye girl who loves the world
Or the blue eye girl with fire in her eyes.
Unable to stop the change.
Fighting always fighting to know who I am.
Just when I think I've got it something switches and a new one emerges.

When I look at me who do I see
A blue eyed girl that's scared of who I am.
A blue eye girl who's constantly at war inside her brain.
Lost in a lonely world
Always trying to find a way from the inside out.

When you look at me
Which one of me do you see.
Never knowing which one I'll be.

WELCOME GAIL ~ Thank you for a very beautiful and yet challenging first poem ! I suppose if I looked at you I would see what i wanted to see ? I am an optimist and an encourager so I always try to se the best and the beautiful in the EYES of a BLUE EYED GIRL ! However ~ as you poem reminds us ~ in looking for the best I might miss the worst and only see your smiling eyes and miss the anguish in your hurting heart ! Yours BRIAN
