The Endless Poem : Part Two

Aa Harvey

Part One has been written and the deadline has passed;
but time is never our friend so we must continue.
So write quickly, with an instant thought,
about anything you wish to write about in verse
And would you please, if you could; please do it soon.
Show all the readers a verse of your imagination created from a thought from the depths of your mind;
And the verse you have inside you will be seen in this part of The Endless poem
and we shall become the writers of time...

If only time were infinite...
yet the flutters of the butterfly
will slow and eventually die and
I am reminded that I do not have forever...

Like sands through the hourglass
Time keeps slipping away
Into the unknown places
Way ever it may

  • Comment from author about the poem: Each poet should add four lines to the poem and they should only add a single verse to The Endless Poem : Part Two. I will create a new fusion poem (Part Three etc.) after the time has run out on this part of the Endless Poem. In 15 days (18th December 2016) this part of the poem will end and the next part of the Endless poem will begin at the earliest opportunity after this date. This poem is for everybody to say whatever is on their mind at the time of reading this. All original poetry please, whatever you think of at the moment of reading this. Please end your last line with ... This will then lead on to the next poet and their new verse. Also, the poem is for all ages, not just for over 18 years old to read so keep it friendly.
