I want to experience the storm myself,
To withstand the cruel winter.
Ansel Adams made a fool out of himself,
By not taking another picture.
My soul thrives in the chills,
When I look upon the hills that are covered in snow.
I cannot help but think of an enduring journey,
If I were to walk through the tall trees, and hear the winter crow.
Adventure is the spotlight of life
In this Winter Storm, it brings that reality to light.
The bellowing clouds linger over the mountains,
It almost seems like a fountain of endless paths that amount to nowhere.
On the mountain top, there is freedom.
In the snow, there is purity.
Among the trees, there lies breath.
Yet gazing upon this picture, the Storm could be a bringer of death.
Test your limits, the winter is challenging you.
Do not let your pride be mocked,
For it is the only thing that can bring you through something this daring.
Can you do it?
Can you overcome?
If you can conquer the winter winds,
It will have no choice but to witness what you will become.
Go on, do not be hesitant oh my soul, escape the clutches of the norm.
Do you not long for exploration?
Is the land too vast for you that it overwhelms your imagination?
Go on, take a step, and breathe in the frigid air of the Winter Storm.

WELCOME ALAN ~ Great Picture ~ Great poem and a mention of Ansel Adams # Great Mountain Photographer. Even in the UK (where there are not may peaks in excess of 1000 metres) there are great snow and ice climbs and some have sacrificed the lives for the challenge. My favourite is the English Lake District ~ 10 great lakes and 10 equally great peaks ~ and different in every Season ! Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN Please check my poems ~ Thanks.
Thanks Brian! I will definitely check out your poems!
Keep on keeping on. This is the kind of content I like to see - and I'm crazy picky.

Thanks Psentinal!
