HALLELUJAH ~ THE SWAN HAS LANDED !
CYGNUS 3 ~ Five light years from Planet Earth
A Habitable Planet third one in of seven
Orbiing a star (BELLUM) similar to our SUN.
Average CYGNUS temperature 14C (57F) ~ abundant water.
An Atmosphere of 15% OXYGEN and 83% NITROGEN
Carbon Dioxide 200ppm ~ abundant Plant and Marine life.
This was our first view from our Space Craft ~ SWAN SEVEN
Which had left Planet Earth six year ago in 2044 from Yorkshire UK.
We were very relieved because there was evidence of Plant Life.
The colours in the morning BELLUM RISE were spectacular !
A CYGNUS day is twice and Earth day so we had landed good,
This was our New Home ~ there were no plans to return.
We checked the outside temperature 12C (54F) ~ Oxygen 15%
No toxic gasses ~ no HOSTILE ALIENS ~ WE COULD EXIT !
Thanks for visiting ~ another instalment tomorrow ~ comments welcome.
Space Travel and Colonization (starting with MARS) will soon be SCIENCE FACT !

- Comment from author about the poem: We had searched for over 100 yeras for another HABITABLE (EARTH-LIKE) PLANET in the Milky Way ! Colonization of Mars (started in 2030) had proved impractical but CYGNUS 3 located in the BELLUM SYSTEM was ideal and now we had actually landed and were ready to colonize. The UK had pioneered Electron Propulsion (to drive our Space Craft at 90% the speed of light) so we had been granted the pole position in the Colonization of CYGNUS 3. The American Craft had left in 2045 ~ the Russian in 2046 and the Chinese in 2047 and all were on course ! When we opened the door of SWAN SEVEN ~ i couldn't stop myself from saying "This is ONE MEGA LEAP for the whole Human Race !" More tomorrow thanks for reading ~ please comment. Love to all on Planet Earth ~ BRIAN CORTEZ XOXOXOX

This was a very interesting read! Very intriguing. I fully believe you should write a book! Brilliant writing. At the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens tomorrow! Hugs in the spirit--Christina
THANKS CHRIS ~ Pleased you liked it ~ I am interested in SF and SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) but is a difficult genre to write something different and mine is always Science based not Fantasy. Tomorrows "Space Sonnet" will interest you ! Bubble Hugs ~ BRIAN
Sorry I arrived late. I had received the message "Houston, we have a problem." , and had to call some of systems analysts in Orlando, Houston, and California. An oxygen leak was a false alarm. All systems are go. Cheers.
Thanks "A" ~ very droll ! We don't get much SF on MPS ~ pleased you enjoyed it ~ BRIAN
