Bitter love

elsiewarrenswords

All I keep replaying in my head,
Is the way your body pushed hard onto my own
The way our mouths fused into one,
And our warm breaths kept out the cold
Each others hands roaming
Each others eyes closed
And when they were open,
They never broke our stare,

I fucking miss you

The way you sang to me, as I laid on your chest afterwards and all we could do was laugh.
And you went back to her.

Very descriptive and I am sorry that the person in the poem was treated like that. Cruel and bitter love expressed well.

THANKS FOR SHARING ELSIE ~ As we get older (I'm 33 and still single) we all get a taste of LOVE TURNED BITTER. What makes it worse (as your poem says) is that it was so so good ~ before it all turned so so sour. Hugs ~ BRIAN

Thanks for reading and commenting Brian! Extremely true - as said in the great gatsby "all the bright precious things fade so fast and they don't come back." Have a fab day!

it' a very difficult task indeed when dealing with the issues of losing something you love dearly. I have witnessed many people who have treated there partners badly and unfairly and take them for granted without even taking a moment to stop to think how you would feel when they arn't around anymore. you will find, even if some people can't admit it, but the pain can become unbearable and all you wan't is for that person to come back. remember, it's always a good reminded to hold close to your heart the ones you love and the things you have. thank you for raising this emotion. a good concise poem.

Losing someone I loved dearly was probably the most difficult task I have overcome. It does slowly get easier but the pain is still there. It is - it also makes us who we are today 🙂 Thank you very much & I appreciate your comment and read more than words can say! Have a nice evening
