My Birthday's too near Christmas
Oh isn't it a shame
I planned a great big Party
But then nobody came !
I never get no presents
Cos everybody say
Don't worry dear you'll get it
It's wrapped up for Christmas Day
Mum and Daddy should 'ave planned it
Told the the Stork to stay away
To bring me in September
But not on Christmas Day
It's OK for JESUS
He's a million miles away ~ and
He never ever had a Birthday
So He loves CHRISTMAS DAY !
So if you're orderin' babies
In the Rumpy Tumpy way
Stay COOL in March & April
They might arrive on Christmas Day !

- Comment from author about the poem: Being born on CHRISTMAS DAY (25th December every year !) poses many problems. You get a name like NOEL or NOELINE and you never have a Birthday party or a Birthday Cake because you can't compete with JESUS ! He gets billions of Birthday Cards (even though he's 2016 and all His mates ~ Peter ~ James ~ John etc are dead) you are lucky if you get ONE ! And you get a JOINT PRESENT for Christmas & Birthday ~ but its the same present your Brother gets for just Christmas. I blame the Men they get excited in Spring and can't resist putting their ........................... order in ~ in March & April. Most Men can count up to NINE so you have no excuse. All those born between December 15 and January 15 get their BIRTHDAY eclipsed by Christmas and New Year so the Period of conception to avoid (if you want a happy child) is between March 15 and April 15 ~ YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ! What a wonderful poem! It's so true that when born near Christmas you get the "oh i knew you wouldn't mind if I wrapped in christmas paper" stuff. Really great write! Happy Birthday!
Thanks CHRIS ~ My Friend Bob (who was born on Christmas Eve) has an Official Birthday (like the Queen) on 24th of JUNE each year ! We all send him cards and buy a present ! He hired a Hall and had a "Big Bash" when he was 21 and a big marquee (tent) in the Garden (yard) and a Jazz Band when he was 30 ~ both on the 24th of JUNE. That is one solution ! Spiritual Hugs for you ~ BRIAN
