Where Are You Now

TaylorLaane

Where are you now??

It's a piece of me fading away.

I still remember a faded memory of you close to me.

You were a guardian angel to me!

Where did you go?

I do not like this missing empty feeling in me.

My soul cries for your return!

Where are you now?

I yearn for you to be beside me, holding me, protecting me.

Was it just a fairytale or just imaginary?

You told me you would protect me.

You told me that you would never leave!

I am here waiting for you.

Can you see me?

Im lost in your shadow.

Turn around, can't you see me?

Don't you remember me?

Don't your remember how we used to be?

Please don't forget me!

I'll be right where you left me.

Please, I miss you!

Come back to me!

Where are you now??

  • Comment from author about the poem: For me this Poem is about my Dad! We used to be closer and reason we are not is due to my parents divorcing. But I wrote this for not only me but anyone who has lost someone dear to them no matter the type of relationship. I was inspired from the song Faded by Alan Walker.

  • BRIAN & ANGELA

WELCOME TAYLOR ~ Thanks for a beautifully written poem ~ replete with rhyme and rhythm ~ BUT ~ the beauty is eclipsed by the sadness of the subject. Loss of contact with a loved one through divorce. My folks are still together but I work with Young People and I know the anguish they go through when they lose contact with one of their parents through divorce. The whole of the UK is only one quarter the size of Texas so after divorce each parent lives relatively close. Girls nearly always stay wih their Mom so it is the very important Dad / Daughter bond that is separated. Thanks for sharing ~ hope it helped ~ this is a very empathetic site. Thinking of you ~ Yours BRIAN

I appreciate your comment and yes it is unfortunate! I am from Florida and that's where my parents live, I took a job in Texas and unfortionatly my mother and I have a bumpy relationship as well. My father I have a better relationship, I just have a step mom who likes to keep him away! All complicated situation either way but I appreciate your support (:
