The walls we build

Daniel

With pride we wear our paper crowns
Arrogance and vanity is our throne
Our castle shields us from contradicting sound
Deaf to all voices except our own

As the truth lays siege to our walls
Arrogant we shout out our battle cries
Confident we will withstand their assault
To defend our realm protect our lies

But with every assault we slowly retreat
And hide deep within these castle walls
Surrender is not the words we speak
Till from within our gilded tower we fall

THANKS DANIEL ~ For reminding us about WALLS ! Sure they Protect but they also Divide as did the Berlin Wall ~ til GOD blew it down. A Friend of mine was there and said it just toppled brick by brick and no one intervened. TRUMP the HUMP wants to build a 2000 MILE WALL ~ 10 foot high between MEXICO and the US ! There are 350 million LEGAL crossings each year ~ and TRUMP thinks twice as many illegal ! The biggest joke last year was ~ MEXICO IS GOING TO PAY FOR THE WALL ~ HO HO HO ! If it was not for the Hispanics the USA would be more miserable than Hillary ! 2017 should be a YEAR for tearing down the Walls of greed ~ pride ~ discrimination ~ party politics and prejudice ! Thanks for caring BRIAN
