You said I was pretty
You said you loved me
You said don't be afraid
You said I could trust you
You said I felt good
You said to lay still
You said stop crying
You said the bleeding will stop
You said don't tell no one not even mommy
You said daddy loves you
You forgot to say my name is Satan

- Comment from author about the poem: I am now 44 and still trying to heal from the sexual abuse by my first step father that lasted over 13 years of my childhood. I really never got to be a little girl. I had to be a woman starting at the age of 4. If you are being abused don't be afraid to tell someone immediately. You can get help. I didn't know that.

Welcome to MPS. No one should have to endure sexual abuse, especially by a family member, so sorry you went through that. You wrote a great first poem. Remember that you are a survivor and you are strong!

WELCOME LYNN Thanks for your first poem which is a sad but frank confession of "abuse in the Family". This is worst because it is a BETRAYAL of TRUST. I know you will find it cathartic. This is a very empathetic site and I am pleased you have already received some very supportive replies. Thinking of you ~ praying for you ~ Blessings ~ BRIAN (UK)
