I saw the sun bleeding in the horizon;
Orange and red blood he bled.
This awed me;
I questioned the sun.
“Why are you bleeding,” I said.
“Is it that you're hurt?”
“It’s not pain,” he said,
“It’s the warmth of my embrace. "

- Comment from author about the poem: The sun in the horizon holds great symbolism. I wrote this poem thinking of all the times we look in awe to the orange red horizon and see the sun fading away. The scene is so beautiful and relaxing.

Thank you ww. This poem is an adaptation of "I saw a man Pursuing the Horizon" by Stephen Crane ..
Was not that long ago man thought the sun was a God. The warmth of embrace is a great line.
