Ode to New Years

Dford1

We string frayed paper and don noise makers-

while exchanging well-wishes and loving embraces.

We, mesh glasses filled with our favorite beverage-

as meaningful pledges fall from our lips.

The night is full of promise-

and, our hopes, they are high.

It’s with quiet reflection, that we welcome a second chance-

while, giving our yesterdays,

one final glance!

Dee

Thanks for sharing DEE ~ A New Year does give us a real chance to forget (and forgive) the sins and errors of 2016 and begin 2017 noy only with a Clear Diary but also with a clear conscience ! My resolutions are General not to say (or post) anything I may regret ~ and to treat others as I would wish to be treated myself and always to encourage ~ never to discourage ! What are yours ? God forgives even if Humans don't and the SECOND CHANCE is far more important than the FINAL GLANCE ~ AMEN ! BLESSINGS for 2017 ~ Your Friend ~ BRIAN
