One by one
The world combines
Knots are tied
Although some fray
Each thread entwines together
While the fabric of the land
Keeps on growing
Not all are used
Some merely lay untouched
Left alone, forgotten
Never feeling a loving touch
Never experiencing that closeness
Desperate to know
How does it feel?
What is it like?
Will I ever?
Will my day finally arrive?
What makes me so different?
So many questions...
That no one can say
They cannot say anything
I wanna hear
All these cliches
Which mean nothing
'You will find someone'
'There's someone out there for everyone'
Words of nothing
Spoken on auto-pilot
They fly straight through me
Without a movement
To raise me higher
So when will this happen?
Where is your proof?
How do you know my future?
No matter how hard I try
It's always the same
Feelings are never mutual
The scales never balance
Each day a waiting game
A game I can't win
The clock ticks
The days go by
When will this ever end?

WELCOME BK ~ Love your first poem and LOVE really is a "Waiting Game" ~ I'm 33 and still single although I do have a regular GF (29) and who knows ? There are 3.6 billion people of each gender in the world and less than half the Adult Population are married so there are plenty of POSSIBLE Partners out there. I have had GF's of different ages ~ ethnic background ~ religions ~ class etc and I guess I could have married most of them and lived Happily ever after ~ so I don'yt believe in a SPECIAL SOME ONE ~ but neither do i believe in anyone will do either. So it is a game of chance ~ Most ladies in my experience are ready for Marriage at 25 and some Men by 40 (but not all !) Hope that helps ~ thanks for sharing ~ every Blessing in your quest !
