The Rat and the Rabbit, an unusual friendship
The rat and the rabbit sat down for a chat,
They talked about this and talked about that.
The rat asked the rabbit how he kept his fur clean,
Its easy he said, I just love always to preen....
The rabbit said rat, why do folk fear you so,
Rat said it simple, we scurry around on the floor.
All at once a cat, pounced from a nearby bush,
Onto the poor rat with his paws and a push.
Before the cat could then bite,
The rabbit gave it a fright,
As he sunk his large teeth,
Into the cats underneath .
The Pussy let go, ran to his owners front door,
Through the cat flap, never came out anymore.
The rat thanked the rabbit, before he went on his way,
Of the friendship they'd made, of which he'd try to repay.
Moral of this ditty.... We can be both
Rat or rabbit and You can find
The most unusual friendships
In the most unusual places....
