Fine By Me

AliMay

You may wake up one day
And realise that this life isn't
For you.
Darling, that's fine by me.

You could take my hand
And decide the coldness
Isn't enough for comfort.
Darling, that's fine by me.

If the rain is pouring but
You'd rather run outside than
Stay inside with me,
Darling, that's fine by me.

But as we lie here on
Our crumpled sheets,
You say that you'll never leave.
Darling, that's fine by me.

I'll always be a woman who
Knows her mind and what
She wants.
That's what you'll have to love.

You say, "Dear, I know
You. And what you are.
And it's all
Fine by me."

I walk over to the mirror.
Check my face and my figure.
It's enough for me, and I guess for you. too.
You. You're fine by me.
