All that we are

Aa Harvey

All that we are

These are my thoughts;

Your interpretation is your own.

What am I but naught?

We are not alone.

Love is in ashes,

Too broken to fix.

Multiple cures have been attempted;

This is all there is.

Beauty without,

Darkness inside.

I have no doubt,

You took my pride.

Burn it all away;

Tear it apart.

Today is not just another day

And this is not the start.

Now and forever,

Lost in the dark.

Thoughts sent to never;

All that we are.

      I read this is even though we are apart I still love you, knowing the bond is broken. Nicely done.

        Thanx. That's a nice interpretation. To me it is 'the end'...

          That's what I thought but the very last line had me wondering. Thanks.
