That time i was There

Trighton

That Time I Was There.

Remember that time when you woke up next to me and realized i was there,
you felt warm, safe and secure, you didn't have a care,
or that time you pulled me closer and fell asleep in my arms,
knowing that nothing bad would happen,
as long as i was there.

i remember the times,

the times you laughed ,
the times you cried
the times of long talks
and reluctant goodbyes

the times of long silence of lingering despair,
the times you always said you knew i was there.

and now its all over and it feels like an age
we have all moved along and started writing a new page,
but as we move on writing our new lives
i cant help turning back and remembering those times.

the realization of time slipping away
oh how i wish i could revisit that day.
the times we would talk about all of your strife's
and i would make you laugh "oh what are you like".

and now your troubles are over and you are on a high
i sit here and fear that you will just say goodbye.
do you sit and wonder if i really do care ?.
i just wish you never forget
That Time I Was There.

Goodbyes are almost always about the time we were there. And sometimes we remain there while all else has moved on. And sometimes when we’re the ones that left, not a thought about the one left behind. Curious. Thanks for sharing and welcome to MPS.
