Ballad of Jealousy

Edward_McLucky

You smile to me,

But Imma walk away from you.

Not because I don’t love you… or you mistreat me. No!

But because you smile to me,

And him,

And him,

And him.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is not a poem and I don't dare to call myself a poet :o I've had a look on a few poems in this site and figured that mine doesn't match. It just has a meaning in my personal life. I hope that this "poem" means nothing to you, cause god knows it hurts if it does.

WELCOME EDWARD ~ Thanks for your first "poem" I trust you found it cathartic>. It is a poem because i has STRUCTURE ~ Lines & rhythm ~ modern poems don't have to rhyme no more ! It also has a message which I am sure many of the GUYS & GIRLS can empathise with. I my case sometimes (along the way) I have met a GIRL who I am so in love with that I stopped ~ looking at ~ phoning ~ texting ~ dating etc OTHER GIRLS and desired only her ~ when she feels the same way about me it is HEAVEN ~ BUT (as you describe) when she is not "satisfied" with me and continues to "smile" at HIM & HIM & HIM ~ then it is HELL ! Thanks for caring ~ Please check my poems ~ Thanks BRIAN (UK).

While there is no love this takes you away. You smile and I go far. Jealously does this. Wonderfully expressed poem is shared here.
