Before the Hush [heartbreak no. 1 in e minor]

m4y4_bee

look at this forest you've sown

silly girl a head is

no place for a forest!

my scalp is rotting

disintegrating decay

exposed cranial tissue littered with

flaps of flesh

expired stinking meat

but you cannot see it

under my spring flower

blue bonnet

that you said looked lovely

this winter day

you've scattered your seeds your

spores

throughout my scalp

larvae laying lice silently

secretly graceful how

could i have known?

before they began to sprout

spreading beneath my

skin i cant scratch the

circus of small legs

the itch beneath

budding seeds

toxic mold spores

you've infected me you

parasite you

bastard you

poor

poor child

i'll hush.

but

tell me

when you inhale

can you feel the burrs in my lungs

spores dissipated from

open mouth to

open heart

you've filled me with

serpent spores

burrs in my chest

tell me

princess

before the hush

are you happy now?

There are several references to spores. But, I don't mind. Enjoyed reading it. The first lines I found to be quite visual, in a gross way, but that is the point 🙂
