I spent hours and hours looking at quotes and lyrics to try and put into words what I cannot say.
But I cannot find it because nobody else feels the same way.
When you left me I fell apart.
Scattered pieces of me everywhere.
I'm waiting for the moment I realise.
That you were dragging me down, unaware.
But I fear that time will never come.
Because as much as I hate you, i love everything that you've done.
We were different people, you and I.
So different we never saw eye to eye.
However my views never came across.
You were always in charge, always the boss.
My thoughts and feelings never mattered to you.
I was a caged bird that once flew.
You put me in a box and turned the key.
You didn't realise how much it affected me.
How stupid was I?
I still loved you
There was nothing you could do.
To make me love you less.
And then you left.

ahhh i love the last line. it stops one cold. and also the line "i was a caged bird that once flew." how well those who have been through heartbreak know this feeling. great write!
