A Life in a Colorful Hell

Andrew5yungk

A poem and true story written by life

As i lay here crying myself to sleep
My soul is dying as i weep
Shaking from this crushing pain
With only sounds of silence to gain
I live in this colorful world but only see gray
I rest my eyes on this dampness where my head may lay
Waiting to find a light in my dreams
Only to wake to darkness and my silent screams
I am frail and broken into two
Lost and alone only to greeted by the color blue
Wondering if im only supposed to exist
My will is battling and being put to the test
But that one light i see is growing dim
I am that light, i am him

Welcome to MPS. Good job on your first poem. I hope you found it cathartic to write! I see you have found yourself in a depression, which I can relate, but I'm happy to see that you have found a light. Although it's dim, there is hope. I hope your light gets brighter. And I hope you write again tomorrow! --Christina
