Dust And Magic.

kevin browne

when those stars sprinkle down their dust and magic
upon our shoulders when we can make things better
sunbeam shines the rays towards our dependence of life
on this planet, we stand mostly together but still fight
the grief we spin around touching us in devilish ways
our spirits run wild like life in the raging Mekong River
doubted by the innocence of adulthood when dreams fail us
and losing the hold on life when troubles are beckoning bad
trust in belief because if it's what you believe in then do it
walking through your pattern of complicated trials and mistakes
makes it easier as those thoughts of sad memories dwindle away
claustrophobic living in these days, when everything seems so sad
that our indulging desires flame up without any recognition
when then a gamble is involved as you throw a heads or tails
winning and losing are both the same when you don't do it
so lay your heads down before you and lay your life down too
turning every corner and in seeing which way you have to go
discover the dreams you dream into life and the truth you feel
now gathering together the importance of breathing in your needs
keep a grip of your spirit and fight to keep things real.

Really good poem! I agree with your message. The last line resonates. to "keep a grip of your spirit and fight to keep things real". Again, excellent!
