Memories

v_s

She wanted to forget you,

But for some reason she could not.

She wished away the memories,

hoped that they would rot.

But everyday they grew stronger,

engraved into her thoughts.

She wished away the memories,

for only tears they brought.

She fell and fell and fell for you,

But she was never caught.

Wanting to forget you was the hardest battle

she had fought.

Really good poem. Such a sad poem. I can relate to wishing away the memories. Sometimes it's really hard to forget someone. I hope you stick around and write some more tomorrow. This piece is excellent! Christina

Anyone who has ever loved and lost can wholeheartedly relate to the battle of getting over someone. Heck, I cried every night for 6 months. Now that the pain is gone, I'm thankful for the memories. Excellent poem!
