Let’s remember the poets before us
They wrote their verses with rhythmic cadence
Their verses painted pictures with great curtness
So full of a youthful exuberance
They wrote their verses with rhythmic cadence
Metaphors & similes behind ’em
So full of a youthful exuberance
Remember, we must never forget them
Metaphors & similes behind ’em
Honor those that were so illustrious
Remember, we must never forget them
In their work, we meet the industrious
Honor those that were so illustrious
Their verses painted pictures with great curtness
In their work, we meet the industrious
Let’s remember the poets before us.

- Comment from author about the poem: This poem is written in pantoum form. The modern pantoum is a poem of any length, composed of four-line stanzas in which the second and fourth lines of each stanza serve as the first and third lines of the next stanza. The last line of a pantoum is often the same as the first. This is my first, so please give me your comments.
