The Wee Hours of The Morning

Winfield

THE "WEE" HOURS

It's always shortly after three when you need to rise and pee

When you should be fast asleep in a dream serene and deep

There is surely nothing sadder than an overactive bladder

It wakes you with a start and now with heavy heart

Which is sure to leave you blue as you journey to the loo

And though you're half asleep you must be careful where you leak

And the tread back to your bed is marred by rising dread

As you comprehend the words that proceed the waking of the birds

These are the "Wee Hours"of the morning.

This is what I'll be thinking of on my next "wee" hours in the morning, journey to pee, wearing a smile on my face. I enjoyed this cute piece. Great write!

    Love this.
    Made me laugh.
    I suffer this exact
    Problem...and so
    My wife does suffer
    Also..being woke up.
And she lets me know !!!
    Well done!!!

WELCOME FRIEND ~ My Great Grandparents had a GAZUNDER (Chember Pot) so called because it GOES UNDER THE BED ! This was essential because their LOO (JOHN) was outside the house. Artists call it the TO LOO LOOSE TRECK especially if accompanied by DIARRHEA ! It is an interesting topic (but a real one for many) for a first poem and it is well penned. I'm OK if I don't drink after 10pm ~ I'm normally in bed by midnight ! Thanks for sharing ~ great title ~ but no visual ! Please check my POEMS ~ Yours BRIAN
