Sand

JacindaRose

I will always hate the cold,
the way you hate me when you drink,
and I'll never like my smile,
just like you'll never like how I wear my hair (even though you know I love it)
I'll always want to dance and you'll always rush me to leave,
and I'll always love the sea
while you'll detest the sand.
perhaps I'm your sand,
and you'll try to be my sea,
either way,
we're bound to slip through each others hands.

Love the way you managed to portray the distance between the people on the poem. Very sad, thanks for sharing

WELCOME JACINDA (LOVELY NAME !) Thanks for your first poem about the UPS & DOWNS of Love. Personally I find my love life works best when we have most things (you can never have all !) in common. I am pleased this experience is in the past and that ~ in the end ~ you did slip through each others fingers. Every blessing for the FUTURE ~ BRIAN (UK) Please check my Poems ~ Thanks BRIAN
