Sister
Sister I'm sorry, for the pain that i caused ,
Opening up that wound, that you'd prefer to be closed.
I had to tell you, of the things he had done,
You didn't know my pain,at a time Of so young.
How could you know, of my fear for him
I couldn't keep it hidden, I needed my sanity in.
Your husband wouldn't hear me, he looked so utterly aghast,
And wanted to keep this, firmly back in his past.
My love and affection, will never leave me apart,
For it will still remain, even when I eventually depart.
We both were broken, in those earlier years,
You didn't know mine, I could not deal with my fears.
Sister
We are now, oceans apart,
Where once ''twas but a stream"
Early life at the start.

Courageous! I have sexual abuse in my background as well and I feel the release in this poem. Keep healing. Writing is my best healing. God bless.

I was going through

While back and wrote
Down some stuff, l wrote
