I thought I put down,
Words, confused a bit.
If spelled incorrectly,
Missed by spell-check.
Like, it feels so right,
To write and sit,
About a half-off sale,
Boat sails that fit.
Or handwrite a tale,
About the ones on whales,
They splash their tails,
Calls sound like wails.
You’ve seen the scene,
About the force of a bear,
Majestic and mighty,
With strength, so bare.
The model, she wears,
Then falls, rips and tears,
Such beautiful wares.
Now she’s in tears.
Go back, read again,
It’s serious, not fun.
If wrong, you’ll cry,
End up looking dum.

Me to! Thanks Tony!
Welcome
I have to admit spell check it's my good friend, great write WBL.
Thanks! I do lean on it myself many times. Appreciate the comment!
I'm not TUFF so when I feel RUFF I've had ENUFF so to recover I eat ice cream and other yummy STOUGH ! Texting is killing "approved" spelling and about too ! Thanks HONEY ~ BRIAN
Very very true Dear Brian and very clever comment 🙂
Great poem. Spell check isn't always smart. Spell check on my "smart" phone makes some words ridiculously misspelled especially names and names of cities. But spell check on the computer is my friend! Great idea to write about!
Thanks Christina. I notice typos here and there in newspapers, television crawls and alike and always get a kick out of some of the errors. I appreciate the comment!
I am a horrible speller so I rely on it heavily, but have to careful that the self correct does not embarrass me. Sometimes I am way out their. Heh, heh. Nice to read u again.
Very clever. The last word in the poem is incorrectly spelled wrong on purpose. But, it is used quite often, I read. (Dum instead of dumb.) Thanks so much for the comment Augustus!
You know, I wondered about that. The dumb part. Thanks.
oh dear..! but a great little write.
Thanks Kevin! Oh DEER indeed. 🙂
I received a text once that I was totally unable to translate and I was kind of afraid to respond, I don't understand? But did and they hadn't even noticed spell check had replaced their word with another. With Social Media and texting, misspelled words are as popular as The Kardashians! Enjoyed the poem!
Ha Ha Corey. That is funny. Thanks so much for your comment!
