Le Fille aux Cheveux de Lin

Le Fille aux Cheveux de Lin

'Tis day arrow depart'h Cupids bow
quilled feather aflame
Nay zephyr t'foil path
Nay sigh , nay wrath

'Tis day Eros took shine
Le Fille aux Cheveux de Lin
For beauty she doth bring
Betrothed by emerald ring

'Tis day St.Valentine
knight of amore
did taste'th our wine
Our blessed intertwine

'Tis day penned poem f'you
T'say our love bears true
T'promise and ne'er ask why
My love is guaranteed til death I die.

thank you

Ah Yes i remember her well ! The Girl with the Flaxen Hair ~ imortalised by Debussy ! Love the message of the poem and also the structure replete wit rhyme & rhythm ! One must also praise thee for thy elegant and amorous usage of Language. I Elizabethan England ~ Shakespeare new full well that the language of his era added spice and sensuality to his amorous odes ! Alas in the reign of Elizabeth 2 ~ we are cursed with text speak "snippets of love !" I LUV U 4 EVR LOL ! Thanks for caring & sharing ~ BRIAN (UK) Please check my Poems ~ Thanks B
