IN AMERICA The Girls from every State are different !
In ALABAMA ~ They wanna take you home to MAMA
In CALIFORNIA ~ Well I did warn YA !
Girls are also different in the FOUR UK Conutries !
WALES
I courted a lady called JENNY ~ Who lived in ABERGEVENNY
Her Father was rich ~ but her Mother's a Witch
And her spells made me Marry Jenny
SCOTLAND
Wee Ruthie frae Scotia ~ A Girl i did woo
We cooed in our kilts a' the Hogmany Do
But me she did jilt ~ when she kenned
That ah wore ~ Y~fronts under ma kilt !
NORTHERN IRELAND
The Girls from BELFAST are sassy and fast
Like the ships from the shipyard they're sleek
But your heart they can break ~ if a wrong move you make
When dancin' wi' them Cheek to Cheek
ENGLAND
Give me a sweet English dream ~ Complexion like Peaches an' Cream
She'll squirm and she'll pout ~ but never scream out
When you're trying to fulfil your dream !

- Comment from author about the poem: For me one of the many beauties of Ladies is that they are all different ~ in their demenour ~ depending on their Country of origin. In the USA the Ladies reflect their State of origin. The same is very true in the UK. A Lady from Glasgow is very different from an Essex Girl or a wee colleen from Ballymoney !
